City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters

Project background:

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is a city of 35,000 residents and more than 6,000 businesses which is well known for its cultural diversity, vibrant cosmopolitan atmosphere and easy going lifestyle.  LiTHe won a tender for the development of a website for the Payneham Road Precinct which also led to the redevelopment of their Magill Road website and ongoing maintenance of these.

Challenge:

The Payneham Road Precinct Committee, which guides the marketing, development and promotion of Payneham Road wanted to develop a website for all the businesses in their precinct. This was also the requirement for the Magill Road website.

Solutions:

We developed websites which give local businesses an online presence. All businesses have a free listing and to feature more prominently three different paid listings are offered which also include benefits such as appearing in the Precinct e-newsletter.

The sites are built on the N2 CMS allowing the client to easily make updates to the website and includes the implementation of an Email Marketing System for newsletter subscriptions.

LiTHe developed the website to include new business forms which businesses can simply fill in on the website. These are maintained in an administration area, which automatically sends alerts about new entries so that content can be reviewed and approved before appearing on the site.

LiTHe also delivered the following services as part of the project:

  • Conversion of creative into valid, semantic HTML
  • CMS integration (N2 CMS)
  • Development of business listing database
  • Microsites for Platinum businesses
  • Page level SEO and search engine registration
  • Maintenance and support

Functionality delivered included:

  • News
  • Topic related content
  • Email subscription and Email Marketing System (EMS) integration

Result:

The resulting websites provide a guide for visitors to each Precinct to help plan their trips to these diverse strips. They also offer all businesses within each Precinct an affordable online presence, subsidised by the council. Being small businesses, many owners don’t have the time or resources to manage a website themselves but are now offered their own individual web presence plus exposure through email marketing and social networking, all maintained by web experts.
